The audio of Parthipan’s new film Vallamai Thaaraayo… directed by debutant Madhumita, former assistant to Gautham Menon was launched at Rani Meyyamai Hall, the Kalyana Mandap in Chennai.

The venue and arrangements looked like a party and was more like a family affair. Madhumita, her dad, mom (the producer of the film) and husband were on the dais. The notable absentee was hero Parthipan who according to the producer could not make it “due to an emergency”.

The grapevine has it that Parthipan felt humiliated as the producer and his team, did not mention his name in the invitation cards or take his consent regarding the arrangements (remember that Parthipan was in the forefront at the launch function, which was a huge success).

Chaya Singh after a long time is making a comeback of sorts playing Parthipan’s wife in the film. The story is all about marital discord and the rise in divorces in our country.

Among the guests were music director Bharadwaj, Visu, Abhirami Ramanathan, Ramanarayanan, singers Chinmayi, Anuradha Sriram, Harish Raghavendra, director K.S.Ravikumar, Manickam Narayanan, Kuyili, Karnas among others.

The film is produced by Nalini Sundar Raman under the banner of Giriguja Films.
