Its the era of remake movies in Kollywood. The year 2008 saw remake movies like Yaaradi Nee Mohini and Santosh Subramanium hitting jackpots at the box office. Malayalam movie Katha Parambol is now being remade into the Superstar starrer Kuselan.

The Malayalam super hit Dileep-starrer Meesa Madhavan directed by Lal Jose, is slated to be remade in Tamil. The plot was about a petty thief, Meesa Madhavan (Dileep) and Kavya Madhavan was the female lead. This movie was a blockbuster hit in Kerala.

The Tamil remake will be directed by Prabhakaran and will be scripted by Ranjan Pramod. Now, Nayantara is expected to share the screen with ‘Paruthi Veeran’ fame Karthi. We last saw Karthi in Paruthiveeran, which beautifully essayed the poignant story of a thug. This time, he is going to do a complete comedy. The music director is yet to be decided.

Karthi is busy completing ‘Ayirathil Oruvan’, directed by Selvaraghavan, while Nayantara is busy working in ‘Sathyam’, ‘Aegan’ and couple of movies in Tollywood.
