Submitted by tamilworld on Wednesday, 21 May 2008No Comment

The much awaited magnum opus of Padmashri Kamal Hassan Movie Dasavatharam will be released worldwide on June 6th, with the highest number of prints ever for an Indian film.

The producer of the film Oscar Ravichandran said that the film is slated to be released initially in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.

Ravichandran explains, “It began like an ordinary movie but it assumed gargantuan proportions. I wasn’t weighed down by any pressure. However, the delay was getting on the nerves of the fans who have been waiting for long.”

Ravichandran is now busy working on the promos to be played out at the last leg of the IPL matches in Chepauk. Being an ardent devotee of the Lord at Tirupathi, he was tempted
to release the film on June.

“But the movie had to be released on a Friday, considering the overseas market and the northern centres.” he says.

Oscar Films is getting a 1,000 prints ready for the first run. As the demand increase from theatres, they will make more prints.
