Reacting to the new title, Dhanush said that by conferring such a title on him the fans have showed their love and affection. “But I don’t know if I am eligible for the title now,” he declared. The lanky actor celebrated his birthday among fans, a week ahead, as he would be out of town shooting for the film Padikkadhavan. Dhanush cut a cake among his fans who had arranged for a birthday party at a wedding hall in Chennai.

He was gifted with a victory sword by his adoring fans. Speaking at the function, Dhanush said that he was happy that his fans have been showering love and affection on him right since his first film hit the screens. He stressed to his fans that they are duty-bound towards their parents. About 200 fans donated blood during the function.
