According to insiders, Meera was approached to play a part in the mega production Twenty:20, featuring all of Malluwood’s major stars, who are acting for free. The Malayalam film association, AMMA is producing Twenty:20, whose proceeds will go for the Association welfare funds.

By refusing to act in Twenty:20 (as her dates clashed with her Telugu movie’s dates), Meera Jasmine ruffled quite a feathers. The result is that she has been banned from acting in any Malayalam movies until AMMA lifts the ban.

It remains to be seen how Meera’s fortunes will fare as she doesn’t usually do many Malayalam movies and her star is waning in Kollywood too.

According to our sources, director Vettrimaran of Polladhavan fame wanted it for himself for his next film with Dhanush. Another actor desperate for it was Vijay.
In fact, he is reported to have requested Hari to part with the title. However, the director smartly turned down the request politely stating that Seval has been
publicized so much so that it is now associated with Bharath and Hari; hence, it would not serve the purpose. Moreover, the name is closely associated with the storyline, feels the director. He also assured Vijay that he would find a suitable name for his film.

Sources say there are two Sarath Kumar in the movie and Sneha plays senior Sarath’s wife. The junior (son) Sarath will have Shreya shaking her legs with him.

When asked about ‘Robot’, Aishwarya said, ‘I want to work with Rajinikanth. He is phenomenal. Everyone speaks of this experience. I’ll actually go through the experience.

It’s very important for me to come away with something from my films since I give so much.’

The film is directed by Shankar, who gave Aishwarya her first break in ‘Jeans’.
